Become a Golf Cart Driver at Oliver Kelley Farm! đźšśđź’¨
Do you love being outdoors, meeting new people, and helping others? We are looking for friendly, safety-conscious volunteers to join our team as Golf Cart Drivers!
Oliver Kelley Farm is a beautiful, expansive historic site. For many of our visitors—including grandparents, families with toddlers, and guests with mobility needs—walking the full distance of the farm can be a challenge. As a Golf Cart Driver, you will be their hero on wheels, ensuring everyone gets to experience the magic of the historic farmstead, the trails, and the riverfront!
What You'll Do:
- Provide Friendly Shuttles: Safely operate a multi-passenger golf cart to transport visitors across the farm grounds.
- Be a Welcoming Guide: Greet guests with a smile, offer a helping hand as they board, and share a few fun facts or site updates during the ride.
- Keep Things Moving: Help manage visitor flow during busy field trip days, weekend events, and peak hours.
- Ensure Safety First: Follow basic safety guidelines to ensure a smooth, secure, and comfortable ride for all passengers.
Why You’ll Love Volunteering Here:
- The Best Views: Spend your shift driving through scenic fields, breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying the beautiful banks of the Mississippi River.
- Instant Gratification: You’ll get immediate "thank yous" and smiles from appreciative guests who couldn't explore the whole farm without you.
- Perks & Community: Connect with a fantastic team of fellow volunteers and staff at the Minnesota Historical Society, enjoy unique historical insights, and attend volunteer appreciation events!
Who We Are Looking For:
- Friendly, patient individuals with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Responsible drivers who prioritize safety and enjoy interacting with diverse groups of people.
Additional Details
- Requirement: Must possess a valid driver’s license and feel comfortable operating a golf cart in outdoor weather conditions. (We provide full orientation on the cart and the paths!).
