Capernaum Special Needs Ministry - Adult Volunteer/Adult Buddy
Young Life Capernaum is a group for students aged 14-21 living with a disability. It’s a place for friendship, acceptance, and belonging. There are parties, outings, service projects, and we offer fall and summer camping experiences.
Adult Volunteers are committed to:

- An informal Bible Study on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday with games and snacks at the Great River Young Life House/Office from 6:30 to 7:45 pm.
- Capernaum Club on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at Gateway Church from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
- Pray regularly for the kids, leaders, and mission of Capernaum
- Lead students on camp trips (as assigned, if available)
Adult Buddies are committed to:
- Working directly alongside one or two students during Capernaum Club and Bible Study
Great River Young Life Adult Committee Member
The Area Committee serves in various roles to achieve the common goal of supporting the ministry work done in the Great River Area. Committee members share ownership of the ministry with the local staff and regional director.

- Help create the vision for reaching every kid in the local area.
- Pray for all facets of the ministry.
- Ensure the integrity of the local ministry.
- Promote Young Life in the community.
- Raise funds to guarantee the local budget.
- Monitor the financial affairs of the area.
- Support and assist Young Life staff and leaders.
- Provide leaders with input and advice.
- Maintain the continuity of Young Life in the area.
- Work with the regional director, especially during staff transitions.
Young Life High School Ministry - Adult Volunteer
Adult volunteers love Jesus, love one another, and love kids. Through relational ministry, we present the gospel of Jesus Christ to teenagers in the Great River Area. We walk alongside our young friends in life and faith, supporting and loving them in all circumstances. Join a team of adults who have faithfully served kids for 15 years!
Volunteer leaders are committed to:
Pray regularly for the kids, leaders, and mission of Young Life
Assist in leading weekly club meetings on Monday nights from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Assist in the leadership of weekly bible study with kids (if available)
Lead students on camp trips (as assigned, if available)
